Why should I consign items to you when I could put them up for auction myself?
Selling items on eBay can be tremendously satisfying, and even quite fun. The issue, though, is the time and knowledge that is necessary for a successful auction. A seller must shoot good-quality pictures, design the auction page, describe the item, and answer questions from bidders. Once the auction is finished, you need to arrange payment from the winning bidder, package the item securely for shipping, and send it through the right shipping company.
When all of this is done, you are still responsible for paying eBay for the auction insertion and final value fees.
All of this takes time, effort, knowledge and money. By letting us do this work for you, your only responsibility is to sit back and enjoy the bidding process for your auction, and then receive a payment when all is concluded.

How much does this cost me?
When consigning an item to us, you incur no out-of-pocket expenses for a standard auction. We are compensated by retaining a percentage of the final bid amount as a commission. This amount begins at 30%, and decreases as the final bid amount increases past certain levels. For a full explanation of our commission schedule, please visit our Fees page.

Who holds the item during the auction?
To maintain security for the item during the auction, we will keep it at our office. This also allows us to prepare it for rapid shipping at the conclusion of the auction.

My item is rather valuable. How do I guarantee that I will receive an adequate final value for it?
Unfortunately, due to the nature of online auctions, there is no way to guarantee that you will receive full retail or collector's value for your item. But, if it is an item of interest, good pictures, an accurate description, and a well-designed auction page will help potential bidders recognize your item's value.

Do you use Reserve Prices or special listing features?
A Reserve Price is an amount which a seller might set to protect his or her investment in the item. If bidding does not reach their Reserve Price, the auction is declared "unsuccessful" and the item does not sell. If you do not set a Reserve Price on your item, then it sells to whomever is the high bidder, regardless of the price.
Additionally, there are listing options that eBay makes available to enhance the visibility of the listing.
As a general rule, we do not use Reserve Prices or special listing options due to the added costs. Should you wish to use optional features such as this, please contact us. Note that in these circumstances, it will be necessary to charge a non-refundable fee prior to the start of the auction.
